The House's Heart

Teresa thought her brief brush with fame as a “blip” was behind her. Llyne Island had settled into something almost like normal, until an invitation arrives summoning her to the reading of a will for a woman who isn’t even dead.
Jennifer Tapp owns everything. The island, the town, and the imposing Heart House at its center. And somehow, Teresa is now part of her plans.
What Teresa doesn’t understand is what it means to become the House’s Heart. It promises something extraordinary, a life that doesn’t end, but at a cost no one truly explains. Because once the House claims you, there is no leaving. Not in life. Not even in death.
On Llyne Island, some inherit wealth. Others inherit forever.
