Housing For Purpose: A Guide to Investing in Real Estate for Both Profit and Social Good

From nationally known real estate agent and philanthropist Whitney Chaffin, Housing For Purpose is a detailed guidebook that explains the needs, advantages, and steps of investing in real estate in a way that helps the greater good and is mutually beneficial to everyone involved. Too often, real estate-and business in general-is a competitive, cutthroat field, but it doesn't have to be this way. Drawing from personal and professional experience, Whitney explains in essays, activities, and photographs how anyone-regardless of occupation or education-can invest in real estate to help the people around them. She believes this will not only help people in need of real estate but also give those investing a greater sense of purpose in life.

While Housing For Purpose is a great read alone, it is best when paired with Whitney's courses and mentorships, where she teaches the basics of investing in real estate-from funding, making offers, evaluating, structuring, to executing the deals-and where she implements her relationships and networks to help people build their idea and vision of housing for the social good and populations they wish to serve. With this book and Whitney's resources, you will have all you need to join the philanthropy-real estate business!

A nationally known speaker on real estate investment, Whitney Sellers teaches a unique approach to the real estate business: how combining it with philanthropy can create a life of purpose. A graduate of Kent State University, Whitney originally majored in broadcast journalism, but after working four years in the TV industry she felt like it no longer provided the purpose she desperately sought. She lost several friends and family members to drug and alcohol addiction during this time, and so she decided to set out on a life full of fulfillment... and she did this by giving to others.Whitney has worked with more than fifty-five non-profit organizations in South Florida, and in doing so has learned about the ability to combine real estate with philanthropy through a strategy she refers to as Housing For Purpose. A woman of many skills, Whitney was a contender in the Miss Florida USA Pageant in 2016, and she has used stages like this all over the nation to spread her mission of giving to those in need.
