Item description from seller

A very good clean copy with a hint of dulling to the spine. An illustrated exploration of the life and work of American self-taught folk artist and Baptist preacher Howard Finster. Told largely in Finster’s own words, it traces his religious visions, preaching and belief that he had been called to spread spiritual messages through art. It also explores his extraordinary Paradise Garden in Georgia and reproduces around 150 of his colourful paintings, sculptures and other creations, combining autobiography with a substantial survey of his distinctive visionary art.
