Hardcover 1/4 black cloth over tan paper over boards. 4to. xviii, 247 pp. Illustrated with 23 full colour full-page plates (including frontispiece), a b/w illustrated title page, and numerous additional b/w drawings. Editions page puts copyright at 1921, but the publisher's time code (K-E) puts date of printing as October 1930. Slight foxing to prelims. Slight age toning. Pages bright and clean. Binding strong and square. Spine and boards shelf worn, bumped and chipped. split in the cloth over the front hinge. Includes a laid in publisher's advertisement sheet. Sticker from Bullock's Department Store (1907-1995) on inside back board. Generally good condition overall.
