Frontispiece, 199p, 167p, 226, [2], 393-410p, [18]. Contemporary calf. 17 plates including the frontispiece and foldout plates. From the Library of the 18th century Italian scholar and archaeologist, Giovanni Paolo Ricolvi (1712-1748) with his bookplate on the inside front board. Lower edges of the first thirty leaves worn touching a few letters.Scattered marginal foxing and occasional stains. Old repairs to the foldout plates. Contemporary notes on the front and rear blanks. Corners bumped. A fair to good copy with an interesting Italian provenance.
