Sean Casey Leclaire, Managing Partner of Best Practices, brings to his coaching and training many years of direct business experience in marketing and brand management as well as over 20 years in somatic (body-centered) education and mindfulness training.
Sean’s expertise is in supporting people to engage the inner landscape of identity and integrity. He has pioneered a model of inquiry called "The Wheel of Being" which helps individuals realize the power of body-centered intelligence, clarity of purpose and creative relationships. He has conducted workshops and seminars throughout North America and is a sought after speaker on issues of addiction/recovery, natural health and alternatives-to-violence. He is the author of a book of poems and stories "Hug an Angry Man and You Will See He Is Crying" and has published essays, articles and poems.
Prior to his move into the human potential field, Sean was President and founding partner of an event marketing company. His clients included Fortune 500 companies and such sporting and cultural events including Hockey-Night-in Canada, The Calgary Exhibition and Stampede (world’s largest rodeo), Championship Auto Racing Teams (Indy Car Racing), Phantom of the Opera, BC Ballet, Le Cirque de Soleil, and the PGA. During a three corporate assignment with Canadian International Airlines, he managed the development and implementation of a global positioning campaign in 32 cities throughout Europe, South America, Asia and the South Pacific.
He has executive produced the following films/television specials: The Zen of Golf, Standing on the Edge (extreme skiing), and Canada’s first national Pro Beach Volleyball tournament.
Sean is on the faculty of three holistic health schools and training programs where he conducts a program called "The Courage To Teach" for body workers, yoga teachers and other holistic health practitioners. He was a founding member of The "Yoga Prison Outreach" program in British Columbia and has taught yoga and meditation in the New England prison system.
A Canadian, Sean lives in Concord, Ma, where he co-raises his beloved two-year son Beau. He is currently at work on another book of stories and poems as well as a children’s book about monarch butterflies in Big Sur. He performs spoken word, poetry and stories with percussionist Bob Weiner.
