Humanitism: The Scientific Solution Of The Social Problem (1890)

Humanitism: The Scientific Solution of the Social Problem is a book written by William Allan Macdonald and first published in 1890. In this book, the author presents a new social philosophy that he calls Humanitism. This philosophy is based on the idea that society should be organized in a way that maximizes the well-being of all its members, rather than just a select few.Macdonald argues that the current social order is based on competition and individualism, which leads to inequality and suffering for many people. He proposes a new system that is based on cooperation and mutual aid, where everyone works together to create a more just and equitable society. The author draws on the latest scientific research of the time to support his arguments, including studies in biology, psychology, and sociology. He also provides practical examples of how Humanitism could be implemented in various areas of society, such as education, healthcare, and government.Overall, Humanitism: The Scientific Solution of the Social Problem is a groundbreaking work that offers a fresh perspective on how to create a more just and equitable society. It is a must-read for anyone interested in social justice, political philosophy, or the history of social thought. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
