Book Description: HUMANS IN TRAINING Imagine: …you're playing a game but you're not sure what the purpose is or what it means to win; …you don't understand the rules, you're not prepared, and you always seem to be in the penalty box; …you're simply working hard and hoping for the best.Does this sound frustrating? maybe even familiar? “HUMANS IN TRAINING is like an owner's manual for daily life” (- Toronto Sun), taking an athlete's discipline, focus and training principles to the enterprise of understanding the bigger Game of Life and what it takes to prepare and condition ourselves for it. This book dares readers to enter a gym that most people don't even go into let alone do any serious or consistent work if they get there! Jay explains how life is like a game in the sense that we are all “in training”: there is a purpose; there are rules; we do have a coach; and most importantly, we do have to prepare and train for it. In fact, this is what we are here to learn! The book also introduces the founding principles of – Inner Circuit Training – an unparalleled system for flexing our mental, emotional and spiritual muscles. This system teaches people how to build a strong inner foundation and master the fundamentals of daily living. And the best part is, anyone can be an athlete of this kind. Let's face it – we are born in the game but we are not born with the rules. So let's learn how to play! HUMANS IN TRAINING answers the question: WHAT IS THE ONE THING THAT IF I WORK ON THIS, EVERYTHING ELSE WILL FALL INTO PLACE? Author Bio: Today, Jay is alive 15 years after being diagnosed with a mid-brain tumor and given only 15 months to live. To this day, the diagnosis hasn't changed and modern medicine cannot explain why he is still alive. Jay can! The only advice doctors have given him is to “keep doing whatever it is you are doing”. So he wrote the book that he was dying to read 15 years ago and shares what he has been doing and why it works.Jay D. Allen is an internationally acclaimed keynote speaker, author, and seminar leader of - Inner Circuit Training. For over six years, Jay has spoken to thousands of people from corporate executives to graduating students to medical practitioners about the concept of “Whole-being Conditioning”. Jay is recognized as “this generation's answer to Dale Carnegie” (-Toronto Business Times).

“CHARISMATIC….this generation's answer to Dale Carnegie.” - Toronto Business Times Jay's path to self-discovery accelerated when at the age of eighteen he collapsed and was taken to hospital where he remained unconscious for three days. At the time, he was pursuing a career as a hockey goaltender. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor and underwent emergency brain surgery. He was not expected to wake up. If he did, they expected he would suffer from permanent brain damage. He survived, without brain damage and with a life expectancy of only fifteen months. 15 years later, doctors still cannot explain why he is still alive. His brush with death gave Jay a sense of urgency to live life more fully. Armed with a new perspective and appreciation for life, he began his quest for answers about life's purpose, human potential, happiness, and peace of mind. When he was unable to find what he was looking for through traditional learning, he sought the answers elsewhere. He studied the lives of successful people. He explored the limits of his physical and mental boundaries by skydiving, bungee jumping from a hot air balloon, walking on burning coals, and more. He still did not feel fulfilled. He hadn't changed; his life hadn't changed. So he shifted his attention from his outer to his inner-self in order to get to the Soul of the matter. He studied how the mind works and its relation to the physical and emotional aspects of human nature. He voraciously read everything he could find on human development and enrolled in personal training sessions throughout North America. Again unable to find the answers he was searching for; Jay decided to create a system to teach what he so desperately wanted to learn. In the process, side effects of his earlier surgery changed his life once again. Occasional seizures and blackouts brought new challenges and opportunities. And he approached each obstacle and challenge as an opportunity to more fully develop as a human being. He intensified his quest for understanding of how the mind, body and emotions work as one to affect personal health, success and quality of life. He traveled through Europe and explored new cultures, different religions, and new perspectives on life. Jay noticed that wherever he went, people were the same – hungry for inner peace. His travels brought him to an understanding of how the universe works and the importance and value of building a strong inner foundation so each of us can be a player in the Game of Life. He combined this understanding with his passionate desire to share his insights and experiences with others and to help them to discover their unique purpose in life and how to create the life they were designed to live. The result is a journey of self-discovery Jay calls INNER CIRCUIT TRAINING™ for WHOLE BEING CONDITIONING™.
