Contains numerous in-text tables and diagrams.This particular study of Darwin brings to light the importance of the earthworm for both our gardens and our farming, as well as their role in the burial of ancient buildings. As an advocate of organic farming, the book is particularly fascinating for those like Howard who wish to learn about how our produce is naturally grown. In the publisher's original cloth, in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart, with minimal marks, signs of shelf wear, and very minor fading to the spine. Dust wrapper is generally bright and clean, with fading to the spine and to the extremities. Signs of edge wear to wrapper, with slight chipping, and the occasional small puncture to wrapper spine. End papers are bright and clean, with the rare small mark. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Near Fine.
