A Hunger for Liberty Leads to the Declaration of Independence (Banner of Libe.

"I have taught constitutional law for 20 years. One of my most profound regrets is that, even at the Nation's leading law schools, students do not study the original documents that surround the creation of our Constitution, feel the richness of the materials our founders consulted, or understand depth and richness of the Founder's experience and knowledge. This set of materials makes that essential material accessible -- not only to lawyers, politicians and judges (who, above all, should be conversant with this crucial foundation) -- but to junior high and high school students. These books should be an essential part of the training of every American student. "This country must reinvigorate its sense of mission, destiny, civic virtue and liberty. These important tasks are best done by understanding how and why the Founders instilled those values in a way that has stood for over 200 years. That these values are waning today does not demonstrate that they have failed, but rather that we have failed to nurture them. "Mary Mostert's materials may be the most significant contribution I have yet seen to bring America's civic culture back to vigorous and healthy life. America's youth are America's future. "Mary's materials can give those youth -- and America -- a much brighter future by reacquainting them with the wisdom and profound understanding of its blessed past." (Richard G. Wilkins Director, J.
