About the Author
Bob Rule founded BobRuleEnterprises upon the completion of a 30-year career in human resource management, in both the corporate sector and the recruiting/staffing industry. Previously, he had founded Baker Street Group in 1990, a staffing services firm recognized twice by the Houston 100 as one of the city’s fastest growing companies. Baker Street Group acquired five different staffing firms; in 1997, BSG merged with StaffMark, a NASDAQ traded company with offices throughout the United States. Bob assumed an executive role directing all StaffMark commercial offices in the Western U.S., with operations that achieved revenues of over $125 million annually. In 1999, he was elected President of the Texas Association of Staffing. He also founded W. Robert Michaels & Company in 1980, a retained executive search firm specializing in recruitment for oil and gas companies, financial service firms, and engineering/construction contractors. The firm was successfully sold in 1987 and remains an on-going business entity. Subsequently, Mr. Rule served as Sr. Vice President-SW Region for a national temporary placement company, where he directed sales/service activities exceeding $30 million annually. Bob’s early professional development (1969-1979) occurred at Transco Energy Company and Tenneco, Inc. He advanced in key management roles in employment, compensation, affirmative action, and employee counseling. Mr. Rule earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Rice University in 1969.
