The Hunt for a Mastermind

They know an attack is coming. They just don't know where.

Fahjeed Rashwan is a naturalised Englishman and a secret, fanatical disciple of Al Qaeda. He travels to Afghanistan to present a cunning plan to Osama Bin Laden's successor. To prepare, he moves through Beirut and Amman, recruiting two important pawns for his sinister game.

Meanwhile, Dutch Counterterrorism and Security analyst Cas van Daelen is ordered to investigate a suspected rise in radicalisation within the Netherlands. His investigation brings him into contact with Rejhana, a Dutch convert to Islam, and former Police Chief Inspector Hans Buurman.

Then three inexplicable accidents occur across the globe at exactly the same time. Hans suspects Al Qaeda involvement. Cas is not convinced, but together they begin to investigate.

A shocking action by an Israeli pilot throws the world into uproar. Israel comes under pressure, the CIA follows the developing crisis, and the Netherlands is pulled deeper into a growing spiral of violence.

Then an unknown faction calling itself Mohammed's Warriors announces another attack on Dutch soil, but refuses to reveal where or when it will happen. Could the target be the Royal Family, Amsterdam's Canal Festival, or the Western Scheldt Tunnel?

Hans Buurman, Cas van Daelen and Mossad analyst Albert Kooistra become the determined thinktank racing to stop the attack before it happens.

But somewhere in the shadows, Fahjeed Rashwan is already playing the Devil's game.

The Hunt for a Mastermind is an international terrorism thriller of intelligence agencies, political tension, covert planning and a desperate race to prevent another attack.

When the enemy refuses to reveal the target, every location becomes a potential battlefield.
