Synopsis:
Hunter Brown is just an average teenager who thought he would have an ordinary summer. But Hunter never could have imagined how this summer break would turn out. It all starts when a seemingly innocent prank on the school bully backfi res, beginning a chain of events that puts an ancient book in Hunter'ss possession. When Hunter tries to read the book and starts having strange visions, his friends think it is cursed. Little does Hunter know that the book actually holds the truth about his world and is the gateway to the mysterious realm of Solandria, a land ruled by a dark and sinister force called the Shadow.
Once he is in Solandria, Hunter joins up with the Codebearers who form the Resistance. Hunter begins to learn the ways of the Codebearers, and how to wield their weapon of choice, the powerful Veritas Sword. But Hunter'ss training comes to an abrupt end when he is sent on a quest that will take him directly into the path of the Shadow. As if facing the evil creatures of the Shadow wasn't dangerous enough, to complete his mission, Hunter is headed for a showdown with their leader. Now Hunter must face the shocking truth about himself and make a life-or-death choice that will decide the fate of all Solandria.
