Brown cloth boards with gilt lettering and illustration; bw portrait frontispiece with guardsheet; title page with small bw illustration, red and black lettering; XVI, 318 pp; 4 etchings by R. Swain Gifford with descriptive guard sheets; 7 drawings by J.C. Beard with descriptive guard sheets; 19 full page illustrations. Printed in edition of 500 numbered copies, this being number 161. Each plate accompanied by leaf with descriptive letterpress not incuded in pagination. Good+ (soiling to boards, bookplate of previous owner inside front cover, all illustrations, drawings and etchings are present, very small dampstaining at the top of of pages 117-264, dampstaining continues along page 265 and includes another dampstain spot along interior edges through the end of the book, worsening more towards the rear).

We have about 1000' of backlog in our specialties numbering over 30,000 items (including 20,000+ smaller and ephemeral catalogues devoted to individual artist exhibitions). Current stock occupies over 2.3 miles of shelving. We are active buyers as well as very active sellers, and supply entire reference libraries as well as individual titles. We ship books almost everywhere, with the exception of China due to restrictions. Our website mullenbooks.com maintains our entire database of over 150,000 titles dynamically, so you can submit "wants" for books which are listed, but not currently in-stock. If your shipment is over 4 lbs. it will be adjusted before shipping. If it needs to be increased, we will contact you through ABEbooks and request an increase to cover our costs, which include postage materials and time.
