An abridged edition. 161 pp. An uncommon reprint of an eminent Puritan preacher. Copies by this author are found in Spurgeon's Puritan library. There only appears to be one listed copy of this abridged edition in COPAC (Oxford University). First published in full as 'The Husbandman?s Calling, Shewing the Excellencies, Temptations, Graces, Duties &c. of the Christian Husbandman, Being the Substance of XII Sermons Preached to a Country Congregation; by Richard Steele, M.A.', in 1668. Original green cloth covers with gilt title on spine. Clean and solid. Clean, original endpapers present. Contents clean, crisp and unmarked. A nice little copy of this uncommon Puritan.
