Sayed Abulanwar (Senior Member, IEEE) – Currently with Electronic and Electrical Engineering Department, University of Strathclyde Bahrain. He is also, Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University, Egypt. He is Guest Associate Editor of IET Renewable Power Generation, Process and Energy Systems Engineering, and Sustainable Energy Systems, and Associate Editor of Alexandria Engineering Journal. He is a Guest Editor for the IET Renewable Power Generation for Special Issue: Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Renewable Energy Systems. He is also Guest Editor for Special Issues: Planning and Operation of Hybrid Renewable Energy Systems, Volume II, III, Frontiers in Energy Research. He is co-author of the book AI for Power Electronics and Renewable Energy Systems, IET 2024. He delivered keynote speech in various international conferences and participated in various international research projects. His research includes hybrid AC/DC Microgrids, protection of AC and DC systems, wind energy conversion systems, transients in power systems and intelligent energy systems.
Zhe Chen has been a full Professor with the Department of Energy Technology at Aalborg University, Denmark, since 2002, where he also leads the Wind Power System Research team. His main research interests include renewable energy, power electronics, power systems, and multi-energy systems. He has led many research projects and published more than 1000 publications in these fields. Prof. Chen is an Associate Editor for the journal IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, a member of editorial boards for many international journals, a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET, London, U.K.), and a Chartered Engineer in the U.K.
Weihao Hu is currently a Full Professor and the Director of the Institute of Smart Power and Energy Systems at the University of Electronics Science and Technology of China, China. Previously, he was an Associate Professor and the Vice Program Leader of Wind Power System Research Program at Aalborg University, Denmark. He is an Associate Editor for IET Renewable Power Generation, a Guest Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy Special Issue on 'Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Modern Power Systems', the Guest Editor-in Chief of the Transactions of China Electrical Technology Special Issue on 'Planning and operation of multiple renewable energy complementary power generation systems', and the Guest Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Power Systems Special Issue on 'Enabling very high penetration renewable energy integration into future power systems'. His research interests include artificial intelligence in modern power systems and renewable power generation.
