Hymns for the Use of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Revised Edition. Printed in New York City by Carlton and Phillips. 1855. 744 + 43 pp. 7.5 x 5. 12mo. Hardcover full leather. In good condition, with light bumping along edges and corners of boars. Some light cracking down leather and title label on spine. Light cracking to rear hinge. Text block remains bound well. 1857 inscription on front pastedown. Light staining remnants. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce and nicely preserved Methodist Episcopal hymn book, accompanied by a section on Articles of Religion at rear. Includes inscription from early owner of If you borrow, do not fail to return at front to potential lenders.
