SF Fantasy Adventure #1 in Series
Firefly meets Fullmetal Alchemist in this exhilarating sci-fi fantasy series from Shae Moloney and Outer Giant Studios. Hyper Object is about othering, found family, and the corruption of power set in a kingdom on the verge of transformation.
The Hyper Object is a mythical artifact said to grant unimaginable power to its wielder. Few believe it truly exists, but those who do would stop at nothing to find it.
Below the surface of an inhospitable planet lies a sprawling network of people whose existence relies on Hyper, a precious mineral found deep underground, for light, food, warmth, and shelter. Those most favored in this hierarchical society are the shapers, people born with the ability to manipulate Hyper with their thoughts. Serving as architects, healers, machinists, and countless other professions, shapers wield Hyper to support themselves, power their communities, and carve out a comfortable place in the world.
Those born of a high bloodline near the upper crest without this power are sent to the Hyper mines.
In this first book of the ongoing fantasy sci fi series, Lees has almost come to terms with being a powerless mite after having been forcefully relocated to Last Light two years ago. Life this deep below the surface is unglamorous, hard, and vastly different from where she'd grown up, but Lees is good at her job and has made friends and very few enemies.
When two strangers arrive in town seeking the most powerful object in existence, Lees is caught in the conflict. Deep underground, it's Lees who finds the mythical artifact of immense power and is forced to make a terrible choice to protect herself and her community.

About the Author
Kyle Keller has been staring at the inky black night sky and dreaming of fantastical worlds since he was old enough to have his first existential crisis. Since then, he hasn't stopped feverishly scrawling his stories onto any medium he could get his hands on from film, tv, books, comics, music, and digital. He is the co-creator for the fiction book series The Keeper of Traxia. Kyle loves creating entertainment and bringing the characters in his mind to life in our world. Somehow he convinced Mark and Shae, two of the most talented people in the world, to be his lifelong creative partners and he is all the better for it. This book and all of his ideas would not exist without them.
Mark Sidener has worked in the film industry over the last 15 years, exploring many different creative projects in that medium. During that time, he co-founded Outer Giant Studios with his best friend Kyle Keller to take their creative spirits to the next level! Some would say over level 9000. As an avid lover of all things anime, Mark currently binges countless series with his beloved cat Ms. Peaches when he's not working on his own stories. He is the co-creator for the fiction book series The Keeper of Traxia.

Store description
**Please note our transit times are from the date of dispatch.** We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first purchase with us, or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
