The top of the spine has some chipping where parts of the cover have come off (see pictures). The covers have wear and some of the surface of the covers is flaking off. A piece of the bottom right corner of the front cover has been worn off. The binding may have been repaired because it is pretty tight and all the pages are secure. I found one page that has a mark in the margins identifying a block of text (see pictures); I haven't seen any other markings, but it is possible that I missed something minor. The pages are tanning \/ browning a bit from age (see pictures for examples); a small number of pages have small areas of smudging. The edges of the pages have some rubbing and the coloring on the surface of the pages is coming off a bit in places. This is an antique book, but the pages are in good shape for its age. The covers and exterior have wear and the other defects noted above. See pictures for more details.
