Each volume Illustrated with a section of 8 Steel Engraved Plates, protected by tissue guards. Frontispiece to Vol I Illustrated with a portrait of Queen Victoria. Text arranged in double columns within in Linear Border. Handsome original Brown cloth bindings with Bright Gilt & Black Decoration & Lettering to fronts & Spines. Beveled Edges. 11" Tall. Volumes 1 to 13 are present, the last volume, 14 is missing. No inscriptions. Very slight edge wear to covers, mainly at tips of corners and spine ends.
