Conremporary Black Full-Leather Binding with 5 Raised Bands to spine. Gilt Title in 2nd compartment and Gilt Linear Decoration in others and on front and rear. Bright Gilt Decoration on inside border. Beveled Edges. All Page Edges Gilt. 15 1/2" Tall. Frontispiece illustrated with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden,protected by tissue guard, opposite an illustrated Title Page depicting Moses with the Ten Commandments. Printed Title Page, dated 1873 follows. Text arranged in Double Columns with References etc within inner Margins. Some edge wear to leather with little bits missing at bottom of spine (see photo). Binding a little fragile in a few places, some plates and one text page loose. Very faint stain to lower margin of frontis and illustrated title page. Text pages in very good, clean condition. Some light browning to the plates, mainly marginal. Very heavy volume, weighs over 5 Kilos so Shipping outside UK will be extra.
