INDIANA IN WORLD WAR II - A PROGRESS REPORT.

pp1-20. Removed from INDIANA MAGAZINE OF HISTORY. Volume 52, No. 1, March, 1956. G. In report covers. In 1942, the Indiana War History Commission was organized. In 1947 it was made an independent state agency with its mission to `write, publish, and sell a comprehensive history of the state's war activities.' That commission decided that the execution of that mandate required the publication of a ten volume series with the general title INDIANA IN WORLD WAR II. This article points out that of the ten projected volumes, three had been published, two were ready for publication, and three more were in various stages of advanced preparation.
