ISEB Common Pre-Tests Complete Practice Papers: Three Full 11+ Mock Test Sets in English, Maths, Verbal & Non-Verbal Reasoning for Years 5–6 (Ages 9–11), with Fully Explained Answers and Parent Guide

Three complete test sets – all four sections at real timings – graded Standard, Extended and Ceiling, so your child knows what the adaptive test feels like before the day.

The ISEB Common Pre-Tests are adaptive: questions get harder as a child answers correctly, and two children rarely see the same test. Fixed paper mocks can only approximate that, so this book does it honestly – three graded sets with an easier-to-harder ramp inside every paper, and a clear note that "feeling stretched" is what success feels like.

What's inside

• Three full sets, each with English (40 questions, 40 minutes), Maths (42, 40 minutes), Verbal Reasoning (32, 25 minutes) and Non-Verbal Reasoning (30, 30 minutes)
• Set 1 Standard, Set 2 Extended, Set 3 Ceiling – from an average session to what a strong child on a roll will meet
• Every paper mirrors the real composition: three passages plus cloze, shuffled and error-spotting SPaG items; all VR and NVR types including block counting and silhouettes in every paper
• Simulation instructions that recreate the no-back-button rule at the kitchen table
• A full explanation for all 430+ questions – the reasoning route plus why the tempting wrong option tempts
• The score grid: every question is tagged with a chapter code, so the marking page turns wrong answers into a revision list pointing at the exact chapter in Books 1–4
• A progress tracker across the three sets, with English tracked as two scores
• The full Parent Guide: what the Pre-Tests are, who sits them and when, how adaptivity and standardised age scores work, how schools use results, a prep timeline from Year 4, and screen-practice advice
