John Sifert has been teaching Spanish for 20+ years in Texas and Iowa. His focus on music and books in the classroom helped inspire this novel. Besides making a fool of himself in front of his students, his great loves are his wife Melissa, his five children, and the occasional good book, movie, or out-of-tune family sing-a-long.
