About the Author

John T. Rabbitt is vice president of total quality at Digital Equipment Corp. He has personally directed successful ISO 9000 and QS-9000 certification efforts at both The Foxboro Company and Span Instruments, respectively. He is also a department chairperson and professor at The Falmouth Institute of Quality Systems Management.

Peter A. Bergh serves as the director of marketing and business development at The Foxboro Company. As a member of Foxboro's ISO 9000 steering council, he played a major role in its ISO 9000 certification and TQM programs.
