IVF Success (Simplified Chinese Edition)

IVF Success (Simplified Chinese Edition), written by Dr Raphael Kuhn and translated by Yvonne Yiwen Xu, is the first independent, evidence-based book with no conflicts of interest that addresses major issues surrounding IVF success and failure.

Successful IVF can bring you immeasureable happiness, but it can also be responsible for profound disappointment when it does not go as planned.

The emotional and financial costs of undergoing IVF are considerable, especially when you have to undergo multiple cycles. This can leave you feeling desperate, vulnerable, and willing to try anything that promises an easy fix.

IVF Success aims to provide you with the facts that will enable you to optimise your chances of achieving your goal, parenthood.

Dr Raphael Kuhn was Senior Lecturer in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at The University of Melbourne, and later Head of the Gynaecology Department at both The Royal Melbourne Hospital and The Royal Women's Hospital. He spent more than 15 years as a consultant at Melbourne IVF and four years as Chairman of Melbourne IVF Human Research and Ethics Committee. In 2015, he created Infertility Second Opinion and spent two years providing independent opinions to patients who had not experienced IVF success. The cases he saw during those years prompted him to write this book. Raphael is also a member of the Fertility Society of Australia (FSA), European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), and American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). On a more personal note, his empathy for the issues addressed in this book stem from personal family experiences on the emotional roller coaster associated with IVF treatment.

Yvonne Yiwen Xu has a MD in Clinical Embryology from Australia's Monash University.
