Half-calf in contemporary style with slight gilding and title on spine, (minimal dusty). - First and only edition. - Rare emblematic work based on the "Iconologia" by Cesare Ripa of 1593. The plates mostly are showing 4 emblematic figures on one sheet. - Partly somewhat browned (volume 2 more affected at the beginning), in places slightly spotted.
