Best mates Lisa and Rachael are making a new show almost a decade after they created their first piece together.

When they saw Lisa in a wheelchair and Rachael not, what the public said was funny, jaw-dropping and ultimately heartbreaking. They made a show about it. It was called No Idea.

Now people say the world has changed and things are looking up. There are more disabled people in the mainstream media, Lisa landed a big part on TV and disabled mates are getting regular auditions – happy days. So what kind of exciting stories are the TV professionals dreaming up for them?

Still No Idea is the whole story (so far): the British public, the professional writers, the TV execs. Part verbatim theatre, part improv, part comedy sketch show, this is a raucous and mischievous exposé of good intentions gone bad and how sometimes no matter how hard we try, we still have absolutely no idea.

About the Author

Lisa Hammond and Rachael Spence have been producing work together for the last ten years. They work across television, theatre and community performance projects and their joint credits include Still No Idea (with Improbable and The Royal Court Theatre); Lowdown (a Channel 4 comedy Blap with Retort); Old Street New Street (with Shoreditch Town Hall); Helena and Hermia (with RSC studio) and No Idea (with Improbable at The Young Vic). They have also been commissioned by The Globe Theatre to create a piece for their Dark Night of The Soul event in Winter 2018.

Both have very successful independent acting careers with numerous theatre credits with The Trestle Theatre Company, Improbable, Royal National Theatre, The Globe, National Theatre of Scotland, The Royal Exchange Studio, Trafalgar Studios and the RSC. Lisa Hammond has also been a series regular in Eastenders(BBC1) and Vera (ITV). Other television credits include Common Ground, One Night (BBC) and Psychoville (BBC).

Rachael Spence's television credits include The Lost Honour of Christopher Jeffries (ITV); Thirteen (BBC), Eastenders(BBC) and The Best Of Men (BBC).
