Binding is tight, sturdy and square; blue cloth boards are good, with intense sunning to spine; slight wear to corners and ends of bumped spine; light brown spotting to front cover; gilt titling remains clear and legible. Previous owner's name to front endpaper and a number to title page; otherwise interior free of markings. Endpapers have some age toning and foxing. Otto coins the term "numinous" in this text, which had a significant impact on 20th century religious studies.
