The binding is in Very Good condition, though the dustjacket (which is admittedly uncommon for this book) is in GOOD condition, at best. (There are some Japan tissue repairs on the reverse of the dj mending some long tears in the dustjacket.) __+__ This is a relatively (sorry) simple explanation of the Einstein theory of relativity, told at a still-early period in the development of its world-wide acceptance six years or so after the 1915 and 1916 papers and two-0three years after the eclipse experiment. There's not a single mathematical formula in the book. (I should point out the Thirring's thesis advisor was Fritz Hasenorhl--who also was advisor to Schroedinger, L. Flamm, K. Herzfeld who himself nearly came into contact with E's E=mc^2 equation in two papers he wrote in 1904, arriving at E=3/4mc^2.) __+__Note: there are about ten pages with pretty decent notes done in pencil.
