EARLY ILLUSTRATED EDITION. London: Frederick Warne & Co, 1873. Hardcover issued without dust jacket. Stated second edition; bound in publisher's blue cloth embossed boards with gilt lettering and decorations. AEG. Illustrated throughout with a small color pint for each day of the year (and with a full page color frontis illustration.) Many pages have 19th century hand written names (signatures?) and dates (etc.) One page has the top 1/4 removed (excised signature?) binding is repaired but still weak, boards rubbed, etc. Otherwise a nice example of this rare title. NOT EX-LIBRARY.
