About the Author
Matthew Schaefer, an attorney, has been homebrewing for over fifteen years. He started brewing with extracts in college, before moving his operations to a tiny one-bedroom apartment where he performed partial mashes on a stove top. Guided by tradition informed by latest brewing science, he currently brews on a ten-gallon all-grain system at his home in Astoria, New York, where he lives with his wife, Kimberly, and son, Evan.
