This book describes the step by step process of representing images while exploiting the exciting properties of the representation tools Spherical Harmonics (SPHARM) and Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) individually in a comparative fashion, and under one platform. The orthogonal relationship between the parameters of the listed tools extracts the image data during the parametrization phase after the mapping and optimization processes. A comparative analysis is done in the end for both the tools focusing on the compromise between image quality and compression after the reconstruction phase and are ready for comparison.
