The Imitation of Christ (in rare DJ) Thoughts Helpful in the Life of the Soul, The Interior Life, Internal Consolation, Invitation to Holy Communion

The Bruce Publishing Company, Milwaukee. 1962. 257 pages. This ancient Christian text has been re-translated for everyday, common English reading, from archaic English; originally from Latin. Aloysius Croft & Harry F. Bolton are the translators. Book is bright, tight and clean. Binding and hinges are strong and sound. Pages and endpapers are clean; no writing within other than a small vintage gift inscription from a mother to her son, on the day of his Confirmation, on the upper corner of FFEP verso. Green cloth, stamped in gilt. Faint toning from DJ flaps on endpapers. Uncommon, original DJ with a couple of tiny edge chips. Rear flap has an attractive, small The Angelus, Menlo Park, bookstore sticker. A very nice copy of the Christian classic in its original, uncommon DJ. The most widely read Christian book, next to the Bible. NF/VG.
