The Impact of Appreciative Inquiry Approach in Household Income

Development interventions do needs assessments to come up with the real felt needs of the particular community. The fact that they are needs negates the existence of anything to appreciate. The appreciative approach is a powerful tool to implement any intervention in the community. The results of needs assessment is a list of challenges that the intervening organizations do not have enough to respond to the needs. Appreciative Inquiry Approach is an approach that encourages a self healing of the community. The approach is there to exploit the existing intrinsic strength of the community at large. Findings have proved that the income of the household and the level of harmony at the household have very strong relationship. Again appreciative inquiry approach is proved to have a strong impact in the income of the households that are studied and the approach is seen as the very powerful tool for introducing change in the community. This book is meant for the development organizations, it also targets the project managers. The book would be useful for the activists of gender and devolopment. This book would be very much interesting for couples regarding household income.
