The word ‘reality’ in the term of ‘reality show’ literally indicates an on-screen real life, which an ordinary person supposedly leads when he or she is off-screen. Reality show is a genre of television programming that presents purportedly unscripted dramatic or humorous situations. They can document actual events and they usually feature ordinary people as opposed to professional actors. This books by Vijaykumar Meti aims to understand the relationship between viewer motives for watching reality television, television exposure, and interpersonal relationship perceptions.
