The first edition of Frederic Nutt's popular cookery work, containing numerous recipes, intended for use in opulent occasions. Illustrated with a frontispiece. The first edition of this work. In this work the author wanted to present a variety of popular foreign and English dishes, not intended for the professional cooks, but for those with the slightest knowledge of cookery. The author states that the work was not adapted for families, as the recipes he presented were too expensive. They are intended otherwise for opulent families, or dinner parties. With a half-title. Illustrated with a frontispiece. Written by Frederic Nutt, who also wrote 'The Complete Confectioner'. Rebound with the original paper boards preserved. Externally, generally smart. Light wear to the extremities. Light rubbing and discolouration to the boards. A few light cracks to the spine label. Minor bumping to the extremities. Internally, firmly bound.
