About the Author
Larry has spent the major portion of his career dedicated to the study, development, training, and implementation of the advanced techniques of world class manufacturing in U. S. manufacturing. Larry spent time in Japan studying Japanese management and manufacturing techniques. He worked directly with a top-level Japanese consulting group hired by a U. S. company to implement the Toyota Production System (TPS) in their plants.
Larry is a registered Professional Engineer and founder of WCM Associates.
Madelyn Watson has over twenty-five years of Quality and Manufacturing management experience in Aerospace, Automotive, and Consumer Product Industries. She has held positions as Supervisor, General Supervisor, Quality Engineering Manager, Product Reliability Manager, and Focus Factory Plant Manager in Fortune 500 Companies. In these positions, she implemented world class manufacturing and participated in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and team development seminars with Tennessee Associates, Toyota, and United Technologies. As a corporate training manager, she conducted nearly 50 weeklong process improvement seminars, incorporating classroom and hands-on instruction, as well as team development.
Ms. Watson is founder and president of QualDeCo Consulting. The focus of QualDeCo is helping clients to facilitate change, increase productivity, and reduce operating costs through cycle time reduction and human resource development. She is affiliated with Resource Associates Corporation (RAC) and certified by Total Quality Institute (TQI).
