Large folding map with outline colour at the rear, 2 small black and white maps comparing the coast lines of the Netherlands Indies with that of Europe and the USA, 1 map showing shipping lines plying the seas between Netherlands East Indies and adjacent countries, numerous black and white photographic plates from photographs taken by the Military Air Force, one tipped in plate and one in colour, 332pp, appendix with various advertisements, index, 31 x 23cm. Attractive upper cover gilt, half-title browned, foxing first and last pages, fore-edges and occasionally throughout, prior owner inscription dated November 1928 on the half-title, a nice firm copy of a fascinating book.
