Improve Your Position: Converting Potential Into Performance: Converting

Has anyone ever told you that you have great potential?

Michael Alexander had heard that for most of his life. At first, like most people, he took it as a compliment. But as the years went by, and he kept getting the same “compliment,” something became very clear: If he still had so much potential – that meant he hadn’t reached it.

In his first book, Improve Your Position, Michael Alexander – Color Commentator on UFC’s Fight Pass, and a very successful business leader – shares his incredible rags-to-prison-to-riches story.

Written in an unapologetic, easy-to-read style, its readers will see how possible it is for them to improve their lives.

Your Past is Behind You

Too many people are stuck crying about, replaying, and blaming their past on their current position. They feel as if their paths have been laid out in front of them and are powerless to improve their position in life. Don’t believe it!

If you have breath in you, you can change your life. Michael Alexander had less than a 1% chance of amounting to anything. To beat the odds, he had to beat his negative way of thinking.

“I used to think, ‘no one in my family has ever made a million dollars. Who am I to think I can?’ Then I saw that no one had ever run a 4-minute mile before until Roger Bannister did it. I realized that what’s possible is not limited. There are 53,000 people in the Guinness World Record book. That’s the equivalent of every day, for 145 years, someone breaking a record; doing what many people thought was impossible!

It was time to stop hearing about potential, grab it in a choke hold and convert it to reality.”
