Improvement also went through numerous editions and later inspired non-conformist and Father of Electromagnetism Michael Faraday. It was also widely used as a moral textbook in schools.Isaac Watts, as well as contributing as a theologian and logician, was a prolific and popular hymn writer and is credited with some 750 hymns, recognised as the "Godfather of English Hymnody". Bound in half calf, with marbled paper covered boards. Externally, front board is detached, but present. Rubbing to the extremities and white ink reference number to tail of spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean, with occasional light spots, heavier to the first and last few leaves. Contemporary ink inscription to the front blank. Fair.
