Inanimate Things: Volume One

Zombie pirates, living toys, medical equipment, and mannequins are just a few of the things that can tear you apart. They can do it in a fit of rage or through careful planning. Enjoy these stories and try not to disparage the things you see just because you don't think they're conscious. You could insult a psychopathic thing that you never expected would murder your family tonight.

Stories by acclaimed horror authors Jason Fischer, Justin Hunter, Chelsea Pumpkins, Victor Aldritch, Brett Mitchell Kent, M.J. McClymont, Alan Bax, and Stephen Rhoades. The first in an ongoing series.

Born in 1977, Stephen Rhoades loves to write stories. He is one of the newest voices in horror, but he also writes in other genres such as fantasy, young adult, and anything else that tickles his fancy. His first published novel is THE CALIFORNIA BUTCHER, a psychological thriller released in 2024. He also edited a horror anthology, INANIMATE THINGS: VOLUME ONE, the same year. Mr. Rhoades has several young adult horror novels scheduled for release in 2024, including RAT DROPPINGS and THE PARANORMAL AND NORMAL INVESTIGATORS. He currently lives in the darkest parts of Alabama with his wife and family.
