C. S. R. Murthy is Professor at School of International Studies, JNU, Delhi. He has a total teaching experience of 35 years. He was Chairperson of the Centre for International Politics, Organization and Disarmament for three terms, besides serving as Director of Human Rights Studies Programme during 2013–15 at JNU. He was Book Review Editor (2000–2003) and then the Chief Editor for International Studies (2004–2007). Professor Murthy was visiting fellow/professor at Keele (UK), Columbia (USA) Universities, Sciences Pro (France) and Friedrich Ebert Foundation (Germany). He has authored India’s Diplomacy in the United Nations: Problems and Perspectives (1993) and edited three volumes on Nonaligned and the United Nations (1987), India in Tomorrow’s United Nations (1995) and Five Decades of Cooperation between India and UNESCO (1997). He has contributed nearly 60 chapters in edited books and research articles in journals such as Conflict, Security and Development; Comparative Contemporary Review of the Middle East; Global Society; India Quarterly; International Studies; South Asian Survey and so on. Further, Professor Murthy served as co-convenor for two annual all-India international and area studies conventions held in Delhi during 2013–2019.
