Facsimile of 1867 original, published in London. 204pp. Interesting light on the early 19th-century Indians of Ontario, especially in the region of Georgian Bay and Manitoulin. Pseudonymous work by Conrad Van Dusen, an advocate of having Indian affairs administered by the legislature, and not by the Indian Department. Van Dusen sent a petition to this effect to Lord Bing, Superintendent-General of Indian affairs, for transmission to the fovernor-General, sir Edmund Head, from the Chiefs and Indians comprising the Ojibway Tribe, in Owen Sound and area. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
