Act One with 10 scenes, 59 pages; Act Two with 5 scenes, 35 pages. Play was later made into a film by Robert Altman. The play opened in London in 1968 before coming to Washington, D. C. and then Broadway in 1969. The play received a Tony nomination and was Pulitzer Prize finalist. Arthur Kopit (1937-2018) was a 3-time Tony Award nominee and 3-time Pulitzer Prize nominee. First edition (first printing) presumed. A near fine copy in green thick paper wrappers bound with 2 metal screws. Front cover window exposes the play title on title page. Title page is faded at cover opening. 'Hart Multi-Copy Inc., 224 West 42nd Street, N. Y. 18036, Telephone 847-2619' in silver lettering on front cover top.
