Industry And Idleness: A Moral Contrast (1877)

Industry and Idleness: A Moral Contrast is a book written by Frederick Bolingbroke Ribbans in 1877. The book is a collection of moral tales that contrast the virtues of industry and hard work with the vices of idleness and laziness. The stories are set in England during the 18th century and follow the lives of two young apprentices, Tom Idle and Francis Goodchild. The book explores the consequences of their respective choices and actions, showing how hard work and industry lead to success and prosperity, while idleness and laziness lead to poverty and ruin. The stories are accompanied by illustrations that depict the characters and scenes from the tales. The book is intended as a moral lesson for young readers, teaching them the importance of hard work and the dangers of idleness. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
