About the Author
Brice Benaben is the global head of inflation structuring at ABN Amro. He set up the activity in 2003 and his team has been involved in a wide range of structuring inflation-linked solutions for hedge funds, pension funds, corporate and financial institution treasuries and project finances in Europe and USA. He has co-written various articles and papers on asset management with inflation linked products and adding the inflation dimension in liability management. He was initially involved in linkers trading as a portfolio manager in the IFC, World Bank group in Washington DC. Then, as head of fixed income and portfolio strategies, he worked with sophisticated investors on quantitative frameworks for risk budgeting in mixed portfolios, focusing particularly on inflation strategies. He also worked with major treasuries, advising them on liability management focusing particularly on allocation between inflation- linked and nominal debt based sophisticated liability efficient frontier frameworks.
