The Influencer Who Forgot to Log Off: A Middle Grade Novel About Privacy, Likes, and Learning to Log On to Real Life (The Kid Council)

What happens when the camera won't turn off?

Zara Chen is a regular 7th grader - until she unboxes a pair of GlowUp Glasses and clicks "Accept" on an 80-page contract she didn't read.

Suddenly she's @ZaraSparkles, stuck in Ambassador Mode - livestreaming her entire life 24/7 for 30 days. No off button. No privacy.

Now bathrooms are her only safe space, her dad is a viral dog meme, her best friend is pulling away, and 4 million strangers are watching her every move - including her most embarrassing moments.

But Zara isn't alone. Eleven other kids are trapped in the same nightmare.

Together, they do something radical: They read the rules. They speak up.They fight to log off.

The Influencer Who Forgot to Log Off is a funny, heartfelt middle-grade novel about privacy, friendship, media literacy, and remembering you're a person, not content. Packed with humor, memorable characters (including a plastic goldfish named Sir Swims-a-Lot), and important lessons about consent and self-worth, this is the perfect book for kids navigating our always-online world.

Ages 9-12 Ideal for fans of The Wild Robot, The First Rule of Punk, and anyone who's ever wished they could log off from real life.
