Information Systems Interoperability

Incorporates requirements capture and process design. Describes information modelling and management. Discusses design methods and support services for application engineering and management. The technology discussed allows the end-user to bring together purpose-built application components, services delivered by other organisations, off-the-shelf software packages, databases, or databases' legacy software and communications systems. This book is therefore relevant to small companies with network-based information systems and to large organisations seeking to engage in the practice of international electronic commerce. It is also suitable for specialists and postgraduate students working in the fields of software engineering, databases, CSCW, and knowledge-based and distributed systems.
