Felix B. Tan is a Lecturer in Information Systems at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. He obtained his Bachelor degree in Economics from Monash University, Australia and holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Information Systems from The University of Auckland. His research interests include IT-Strategy Linkages, National IT Policy, the Management of IT and Information Systems Education. He has published articles in these areas in the Journal of Information Technology, International Research in Geographical and Environmental Education, New Zealand Journal of Business, New Zealand Journal of Computing and the Failure & Lessons Learned in Information Technology Management, An International Journal (forthcoming). He serves as the Editor on IS Education in Australasia for Informing Science: International Journal of an Emerging Discipline and is on the Editorial Board of the Information Resources Management Journal. Prior to joining the University, he was involved in Information Systems Management and Information Technology Consulting.
P. Scott Corbett received his B.A. and M.A. degrees from Kent State University majoring in Modern Chinese history. His PhD was earned at the University of Kansas in American diplomatic history with a focus on American-East Asian relations. In 1987 he published Quiet Passages: The Exchange of Civilians Between the United States and Japan During the Second World War. Since then he has published a number of articles on topics ranging from the Chinese immigrants in the United States, the U.S.-Philippine War, to American relations with Laos in the 1970s. More recently his interests have turned to the issue of technology transfers between the Asian and western worlds and the computerization of Asia. He teaches at Oxnard College in California having formerly been a Lecturer at the National Institute of Education in Singapore and a Foreign Expert at the Foreign Studies University of Beijing (Bei Wai).
Yuk-Yong Wong lectures in the Geography Department, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. She graduated from the University of Malaya in 1985. She left for higher education in the United Kingdom in the following year. After gaining both Masters and PhD at the University of Liverpool, she left UK to work in Singapore. Her current interests include educational change and the impact of IT on teacher education, especially in Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region.
